Bugia is the new single by Mediterraneo, featuring Roberta Giallo, who both performed and co-wrote the track (label: Miraloop – produced by Gerolamo Sacco). The song is a sharp and ironic snapshot of the historical moment we are living through: its tone, at times vivid and revealing, meets a playful, dreamlike lyricism set to a dancing rhythm. The song's protagonist—like many of us—spends countless hours on social media, scrolling through brutal images mixed with hilarious videos. But one day, as she closes her eyes, she is struck by a revelation. With disarming honesty and an intuitive, clear-eyed gaze on reality, she recounts what she finally sees—and feels: the veil of Maya that blurred her vision collapses, and with it, every lie the world has told. Every false narrative bursts and vanishes—just like a soap bubble.

A multifaceted artist, Roberta Giallo is a singer-songwriter, writer, theatre performer, actress, visual artist, and producer.
She holds a degree with honors in Moral Philosophy and boasts numerous publications and an international tour.

In 2006, she opened for Sting, and later collaborated with Lucio Dalla, who became her producer and mentor.

She has worked with renowned artists such as Samuele Bersani, Mauro Malavasi, Corrado Rustici, Ernesto Assante, Red Ronnie, Valentino Corvino, Simona Molinari, Federico Rampini, Paola Pallottino, and major Italian orchestras.

In 2019, she represented Italy at the European Music Festival in Hong Kong and made her film debut in Il Conte Magico, earning Best Lead Actress at the Symbolic Art Film Festival in St. Petersburg.

Alongside her extensive live performances in prestigious venues and contexts, she has been a jury member for the Musicultura Live events for years, and composes soundtracks for film and theatre.

She has received numerous awards, including the Premio Bindi, Premio dei Premi MEI, Rai Cinema Channel Award, Best Song of the Year Award (Hollywood Reporter/Wild Filmmaker), Dino Campana Music Award, Lifetime Achievement Award – City of Nardò, and the MEI 2024 Plaque for promoting the legacy of Lucio Dalla worldwide.
