Indie Pop Rock & Alternative
On the road between ‘80s electropop and truly futuristic electronic indie, the new story from the Bologna-based producer and singer is one we all share... stuck in traffic.
A metaphor for the traffic of life, it weaves through our most intimate feelings, offers a glimpse into tomorrow, and pulses with raw energy.
On the path between '80s electropop and the most forward-looking electronic indie, Bloccati nella Città is the latest story from Bologna-based singer and producer—one that belongs to all of us… stuck in traffic.
Urban traffic becomes a metaphor for the traffic of life. The daily hustle, which (perhaps unintentionally but amusingly) echoes the constant construction sites of Bologna’s tram system under complete reconstruction.
The parallel between real traffic and life’s chaos unfolds through a journey of self-awareness (“I want to see myself as a child, to find out if I like who I am”) and relationships (“and now I’m with her, stuck in the city”), eventually giving way to a nearly a cappella break lasting a third of the song.
Here, the protagonist—through a crescendo from whisper to powerful vocals—realizes he must do his best, regardless of what’s happening around him.
A track to listen to—and get lost in—on loop.
