"Serenata" is the new single by Mediterraneo, sung by Aurora Convertini, a promising young artist whose beautiful voice has, on various occasions, delighted Fiorello and all those who tuned into his Instagram lives at 5 AM, before the start of his program *VIVA RAI2*.
Paolo Bonazza, composer and lyricist, tackles the theme of a love that has ended for the first time. The protagonist plays her last card to win him back, singing a serenade to her beloved in the moonlight. Between references to Battiato (*"non supererò le correnti gravitazionali"*) and a simple, poignant language, the arrangement by Gerolamo Sacco wraps Aurora's stunning voice like a vortex, overwhelming the listener and transporting them into a state of helplessness and hope, evoking the sunset of a love story.

Aurora Convertini:"My meeting with Paolo Bonazza was completely by chance. He contacted me through Instagram after seeing a video of one of my performances on Fiorello's *Mattin Show*. He then proposed that I interpret one of his songs, which he thought would suit me. I immediately accepted because it seemed very interesting, and when I got into the recording studio, I was able to fully immerse myself in it, getting deeply moved!"
Mediterraneo:"95% of songs are about love, and even though there's always the risk of writing something that's already been said, it's hard for a songwriter to resist the supreme force of this inexhaustible source of inspiration. This is my first song openly dedicated to love. I wanted to dive into my memories and express that sense of helplessness in the face of a love that's ended, imagining that the power of music could change the natural course of things."
