Visions is a musical project that stems from Simone Blasioli's passion for composition matured over the years through dedication and continuous research.
The work contains, in total, 12 compositions composed for small ensemble (flute, trumpet, prepared piano, 5 violins, viola and voices), electronically reworked, and some synthetic sounds. A process that lasted about three years, in which Simone conducted a continuous research on timbres and sounds that have always fascinated him: the grotesque and the macabre. There are many references to the great composers of the twentieth century who have opened the door to this way of working with sound and shaping it in different ways, such as Ligeti, Scelsi, Penderecki, Lutoslawski, Berio, Stockhausen, Grisey.
Visions is conceived, therefore, as a journey that travels along a road from two points of view, as two are the volumes that reflect it.
Visions (Volume II) focuses on the psychological character of those who are immersed in this absurd reality. Fear, anguish, panic and oppression are the feelings that torment these individuals during this journey that seems to evoke Dante's one.
