Miraloop in collaboration with Gallery16 organized a live performance by il Baskerville for the release of Cornetti Caldi anche di Notte.

Gallery 16 is a lovely venue in downtown Bologna, but it is also a sought-after record store, an original exhibition space and a cozy live music venue.

In a few words: the most suitable setting for the presentation of the debut album by Jacopo Raffale aka the Baskervill, a multifaceted musician, formerly a world-renowned harpsichordist who bewitched the Gallery16 audience with an engaging live performance with vocal and piano music.

This concert is the beginning of a partnership between two worlds, a record company and a record store/cocktail bar, to renew Bologna, city of Music, which always brought novelty and research, and to introduce you to those artists from the Miraloop world whose record productions you know.

Thanks to the invaluable help of the Gallery's artistic director, who was among the first to appreciate the Baskerville's record, the concert developed as a dialogue in which each song was the cue to tell something about him and his artistic project capable of combining indie pop, 70s rock, British influences and baroque opera with humility and irony, without ever taking himself too seriously. The evening was a kaleidoscope of atmospheres always hovering between genres: from the irresistible funk of "Via Pasubio" to the variety of "Paris no no no!" via the electropop of "Stats" and "Affair," the Baskerville offered a roundup of stories that will make more than one generation travel, dream and dance. In the background, the exhibition of record covers designed by Crepax in the 1970s and 1980s, a small record exhibition (!) with which Gallery16 paid tribute to the work of independent labels that every day, creating content for music, tell stories and discover talents...
