La Prima Estate del Mondo (The First Summer of the World) #4 Alternative #96 All Genres - iTunes Italy

Data di pubblicazione 30/05/2020

May 29, 2020. The debut of La Prima Estate del Mondo (The First Summer of the World) conquers the Top 100 iTunes Italy chart both in the Alternative and the Top 100 All Genres section.

In Mondi Nuovi (New Worlds), the concept album by Gerolamo Sacco, La Prima Estate del Mondo is track number seven and it is released today as single, the seventh from the album, in a new and special 2020 version. La Prima Estate del Mondo is the summer that the protagonist imagines after having got lost into the endless space. It is a weird summer, with visions of breathtaking beaches with two suns dancing to the rhythm of the drums, sailing ships cutting through waves as high as walls, but with absolutely terrestrial emotions. The song starts slow, with an almost motionless and melancholic joy, and it keeps on growing. A long break that, at its end, explodes releasing pure adrenaline, with a huge craving for smiling and dancing.

The desire and constant dreaming of summer after a very long journey, or period of loneliness, can be said to be not the most exclusive theme of Mondi Nuovi by Gerolamo Sacco, a visionary singer-songwriter, because it appeared to us that, the analogy created between the situation lived by the protagonist of the story and what the world is experiencing during the 2020 is quite surprising. Perhaps, lockdowns do not have the same charm of a space travel, but it is especially in these days that we are dreaming of and desiring summer as we may have never done before, right as if we were all coming back from a long travel in space. A journey of loneliness, thoughts and considerations, that associates us with the protagonist of the New Worlds (Mondi Nuovi).

For the occasion (the release of the song and its streaming on radios), the arrangement has been completely rebuilt compared to the album version, which presents a typically rock groove. Here, Gerolamo puts his mark also as a producer, changing the genre of the song withouth switiching its mood, creating an escalation that leads us towards a groovy finale, ready to be danced on. Produced and recorded at Miraloop studios, La prima estate del mondo becomes unique within the indipendent Italian recording industry. The song starts with some features that may remind you of Franco Battiato to then turn into a progressive hymn retracing the sounds of Ibiza's festivals: an overwhelming and hypnotic explosion, with a viola and a synthesizer telling melancholies, joys and wonders of a sunset on another planet... even if it may actually be the one we live in.
